Students will receive expert coaching in cold reading, on-camera work, auditioning, as well as a thorough evaluation of acting skills from respected coach Sara Wood, owner and head instructor of Valley West Actors Space in Los Angeles.

Sara will provide advice and materials for anyone interested in starting a career in the film and television industry.  The workshop is appropriate for beginners and pros and will be beneficial to any actor interested in honing their craft.
 
Ms. Wood’s students include many successful actors including James Lafferty of “One Tree Hill”, Josh Peck of “Drake and Josh”, Leighton Meester of “Gossip Girl” and Evan Rachel Wood of “Across the Universe”, “The Wrestler” and “Thirteen”.  Former Oxford resident and actor Kyle Perren will be assisting with the workshops.
 
The workshops will be held in the second floor studio of Team Care, 110 Main Street, Oxford.  There are still a limited number of spaces available.

Steve B. Green

Steve B. Green has taught improv in NYC and LA. Steve’s eclectic background includes stand-up comedy, screenwriting, a long Off-Broadway run with NYC’s Gotham City Improv (Originally, “Groundlings
East.”), several more Off-Broadway Shows of the Musical and Classical variety, and several original sketch shows accompanied by their corresponding TV Pilots. This fall,
Steve can be seen 10:30 every Sat. Night doing improv and singing the blues with his company, “So Funny it Squirts”, at the LA Connection Comedy Theatre in Sherman Oaks and doing his stand-up act around LA.

Steve also co-wrote the recent bestselling book "Assholeology: The Science Behind Getting Your Way - and Getting Away with it" available at Amazon and discriminating bookstores around the country. As If all that isn't enough, Steve also does what Myrna Goldfarb of the Tuscon Senior Times calls "The best Tom Jones Tribute Show by a Jew, hands down, that she's ever seen!"
