The Actors Space West - Main Staff
The Actors Space West - professional classes for film and television
The Actors Space is owned and operated by Sara Wood...but we also have an amazing teaching staff which includes.....

Steve has developed his philosophy of acting from a combination of his Meisner training and his 15 years of working as a producer, director, and actor.  He helps each actor utilize his or her unique abilities to create organic, captivating, moments.  He incorporates this in scene study, on camera audition technique, and cold reading.  Stephen’s recent projects include serving as producer, writer, and acting coach on the feature film, “53206: Milwaukee,” currently in post-production. The film was cast with first-time actors from the poorest inner city of Milwaukee; a war zone with extreme violence happening everyday.   Stephen coached the talented cast daily for 6 weeks before filming to get them ready.  Other recent projects include producing the action packed thriller, “The Russian Bride” starring Corbin Bernsen and directing the award winning short films, “Tiff” that parallels cutting with drug addiction and the “Underhanded” which takes place during the prohibition era in Atlantic City.  Stephen loves tackling difficult subjects that will affect people and help to change lives.  Check out Stephen on IMDB:

Kara grew up right outside Nashville, Tennessee where she started performing on stage at the age of three.  Acting whenever she got a chance at church, school and of course at home, her love for performing only grew each year. While attending Trevecca University, where she received a double major in Dramatic Arts and Communication Studies, she obtained an acting scholarship for being a member of the  University's Improv and acting troupe called Masterworks.

After graduating from college, she continued with regional theatre, and got an agent to experience the wonderful world of commercials, music videos, film and TV. After becoming a member of SAG, she moved her and her daughter away from family and across country to follow her dreams in Los Angeles. Since arriving, Kara has been blessed with several commercials, TV spots, and film work. The only thing that can come close to her passion for acting is her passion for teaching it. Kara has been teaching young actors for 3 years at The Playground in Century City. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and looks forward to sharing her love for the art of acting while inspiring and challenging her students.
